About Matthew Hallisey Government Affairs
In 2013, after representing industry and professional associations and serving as a legislative attorney in a nonpartisan staff office of the Connecticut General Assembly, Matthew Hallisey established his own full-service government affairs consulting and legislative-lobbying firm. Matthew Hallisey Government Affairs provides personal service that clients demand and the experience, integrity, respect and access to key decision makers that clients expect. Matt helps bridge the gap between organizations and government in order to advance the interests of clients.
Matt has more than two decades diverse experience in representing clients on various matters before the Connecticut General Assembly and working in the legislature. He served as director of government relations and legislative counsel for a commercial construction industry trade association and a statewide professional association of attorneys. As a staff attorney in the Legislative Commissioners’ Office for two committees of the General Assembly, Matt counseled legislators on the legal and public policy implications of statutory language and proposed regulations.
With his entrepreneurial spirit, Matt combined his lobbying and association management experience with a strong desire to help clients navigate the arcane lawmaking process and bureaucratic maze of state government.
Matt is a zealous advocate for his clients’ interests. His firm delivers quality personal service at competitive rates. Matt helps clients achieve their public policy objectives by finding practical solutions to complex, challenging issues and building consensus.
